Southeast Asia is not merely a region on the map. It is a living corridor of history, trade, faith, creativity,
migration, and resilience. It is the meeting place of oceans and mountains, kingdoms and republics, ancient temples
and modern cities, rice fields and digital economies. From the royal courts of Angkor, Srivijaya, Majapahit,
Ayutthaya, Pagan, Champa, and Malacca to the fast-growing cities of Jakarta, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila,
Kuala Lumpur, Phnom Penh, Singapore, Hanoi, Dili, and beyond, Southeast Asia has always been a land of
movement. Its people have moved across seas, borders, languages, and beliefs. Its merchants carried spices, silk,
ceramics, gold, textiles, and ideas. Its communities learned to adapt, absorb, and transform.
